Honeywell’s Expansion in the Aerospace Industry

Honeywell’s expansion into the aerospace industry began in the 1960s, when it partnered with Airbus and Boeing to develop new aircraft systems. In addition to developing a range of new products for the aerospace industry, Honeywell also developed advanced data analytics tools that have been used by NASA since 1969.
Honeywell has continued its partnership with NASA throughout its history; today it provides products such as air conditioning units for space shuttles and rocket engines used by SpaceX rockets.

Honeywell’s Expansion in the Automotive Industry

Honeywell’s expansion into the automotive industry began in 2010, when it partnered with General Motors to develop connected car systems. In 2010, Honeywell partnered with Apple to develop a line of home automation devices that would work seamlessly with iPhones and iPads. The following year, Honeywell partnered with Google and Amazon to develop connected home systems for both companies’ platforms: Google Home and Amazon Echo respectively.
